Knitting and crochet has always been an integral part of my life, and until recently, had just the evenings to spend making things. However, since taking early retirement, I have more time to dedicate to my hobby - how great is that? With over 40 years experience, I am self-taught but love learning new techniques and have just discovered Tunisian Crochet, so watch this space!

Portfolio of Work
Here are just some of the projects I have been asked to complete for people.
Small Comforter for Small Babies
Very popular and make ideal new baby or shower gift but have been proven to be particularly soothing for premature babies as the twisted tentacles are similar to the umbilical cord.
The idea of these came from Denmark, where research in a neonatal unit showed that they can calm babies while squeezing their tentacles led to better breathing, more regular heartbeats and higher levels of oxygen in their blood. The babies were also less likely to pull on their monitors and tubes. Research has also shown that crocheted tentacles on this octopus remind little ones of their umbilical cords and being inside their mother's womb, which in turn helps them feel safe.
Bedtime Sleepy Bunny ComfortZzzzz
I think I've fallen a little bit in love with this Bedtime Bunny Comforter. Made from 100% cotton yarn in white with a lovely white/secondary colour mix decorative edge and floppy ears, this would make a lovely New Baby or Baby Shower Gift.
Measuring approx 28cm sq, it can easily be washed (I would suggest gentle hand washing) and then lay out flat, ease back into shape and leave to dry.
I'm happy to make to order in specific colour request, just message me with you requirements. Allow 3 -4 working days (slightly longer if I have to source any specific colour yarns).
The Best Kind of Scales.....
Dragonscale Fingerless mittens
Don't fancy hopping on a set of scales any time soon? Why not just put on these scales instead....lovely warm Dragonscales! These great mittens are a real favourite, especially at Christmas as they make great stocking fillers. In children's and adult sizes, I make them with self striping wool and no single pair are ever the same so you know you are giving a truly unique gift.
And the shoe obsession begins.....
Dainty Ballerina Shoes
These crochet shoes are just so darn tiny and cute. A favourite for New Baby reveal. Imagine handing over a little gift box to an unsuspecting family member and watch their faces when they open the box and it dawns on them what the contents mean! Priceless.
"I am Groot"
For Marvel Fans.....
Such a cutie standing at about 6" tall, he was snapped up by a dad at a Craft Fair who bought a Preemie Octopus for his new baby daughter and took one look at young Groot and said "....and this one's for me!"
